We live in a day and age where there are more distractions than people on this earth. We are alerted every time someone follows us on Twitter, likes us on Facebook or subscribes to us on YouTube. We receive so many notifications and updates that we stop paying attention. We simply ignore them. If you are a business owner who is trying to reach across to a potential client or a costumer, this is bad news. If you want to succeed and thrive as a business owner today, you have to adopt a totally different approach. You have to change your mentality and step up your social game to a whole new level, to the level of omnipresence.
Omnipresence is defined as being everywhere at the same time. If you want your business to thrive and dominate the competition, it is required that you become omnipresent. You have to be everywhere at the same time and make sure that potential customers are constantly being reminded of your presence in the marketplace.
Most people underestimate all the noise that is out there. They believe that one Facebook post a day is going to cut it, when in reality it is just a drop in the bucket.
Years ago, the tactic of posting one Facebook and Twitter update per day was sufficient. Simply being on the platform was considered outstanding.
Well, times have changed. If you want to be noticed now, you have to step up your game. If you want to reach new costumes, you have start taking a whole new approach to social media marketing. Enough talk, this is how you level up your presence from being a drop in the bucket to being the bucket.
First off, create a profile on every major social media network. Not just Facebook and Twitter. You have to have a YouTube channel, a Pinterest account, an Instagram account, a Tumblr account, a Periscope account, even a LinkedIn account. By creating an account on all the major social networks you are already halfway on the way to being omnipresent.
You can have all the accounts in the world, but if there aren’t any updates no one is going to notice you. You have to reach out and expand into the wast sea of distraction. You do this by posing, posting a lot. constantly post useful and informational updates. Every time you make a new post, it is an investment in your business.
A great tactic for doing this is to have blog that is tied to your business. Have a blog that you continuously update with articles that are relevant to your business. Then, turn on automatic sharing so that your articles are pushed out to all the major social networks every single time you post a new article. That way, you will be able to post everywhere, without having to spend much time and effort.
