NES Classic Edition new details have been revealed, confirming Nintendo’s adorable mini console will feature several different display features, as well as permanent save options.
Nintendo of Canada communications manager Julie Gagnon said in an interview with La Terrasse ÉNERGIE (translation via Nintendo Everything and LuigiBlood) that the NES Classic Edition will not only include a pixel perfect option that displays each pixel as a square, but also a mode simulating the retro look from a CRT television and an option to display the games in a 4:3 aspect ratio.
Gagnon also confirmed that all 30 of the games included with the console will feature permanent save points and “instant temporary saves,” allowing the player to jump right back into the action without having to use a password or start over from the beginning every time they boot up the system.
The NES Classic Edition launches on November 11 and features an assortment of some of the best games to ever grace the system, including Super Mario Bros. 3, Final Fantasy and The Legend of Zelda.
